Casual Wedding Filled with Succulents and Florals

Subtle tones of pale green and pink filled the Santa Barbara Historical Museum for this couple’s big day. The event was high-spirited with many unique details including a gorgeous wedding cake with a colorful floral design by the talented Loria Stern and wedding succulents grown by the bride’s father. The wedding party enjoyed a toast before the outdoor ceremony and the bride and groom shared a few moments together during a first look.

The bride, wearing a simple off-the-shoulder wedding gown, followed a few charming ring bearers and flower girls down the aisle. Santa Barbara’s Feast & Fest provided both wedding appetizers and a meal, and both Bella Vista Designs and Ventura Rentals provided furnishing and wedding decor for the event. The occasion ended with music from Last Resort Forever played on a vinyl record player for a nostalgic touch.

From White Sage Wedding & Events:

Portland residents Jodie and Luka got engaged in Jodie's hometown of Santa Barbara during their Christmas visit in 2017. Naturally a very Santa Barbara wedding was underway. The SB Historical Museum was selected as the perfect backdrop and through collaboration with local vendors Feast & Fest Catering and White Sage Wedding & Events details fell together. They wanted a fun and casual party to celebrate their union. One special detail to highlight is that Jodie's father grew over 200 succulents that were lovingly tucked into the eucalyptus king table runners. Their floral cake from Loria Stern was a show stopper and even more fun with the formal cutting including opening of a jeroboam of champagne!
