Farm-Style Decor Blends with Orange Hues at The Maker's Son
With humble beginnings as a full-service gas station and auto garage, The Maker’s Son now stands as a unique wedding venue with a perfect ambiance of rustic Western mixed with California sophistication. For this particular wedding, the couple, along with wedding planner Swell Studio Events, dressed the venue in shades of orange and highlighted the natural beauty of the space’s outdoor gardens and authentic buildings.
The bride, in a v-neck wrap wedding dress, was escorted by her father down a wedding aisle lined with flowers from Alpha Floral. A rustic, wood wedding arbor draped with white linens framed the ceremony and guests sat in white chairs.
At cocktail hour, a quaint bungalow housed the bar and a few specialty drinks were served including Palomas, Rancheros, and a Bee’s Knees gin drink, along with beer and wine. Otis + Pearl created aesthetically pleasing tablescapes on light-wood reception tables. Orange table runners filled the center of each table along with vintage, colored goblets, bud vases, and gold candle holders. Later in the evening, Brittany Taylor Photography captured photos as the couple danced to a playlist by DJ Larry of Music by Bonnie and luminous string lights lit up the entire outdoor space as the sun went down.
