Why Wedding Trials Are A Must with NV Glam Studio
Santa Barbara’s NV Glam Studio specializes in professional beauty services for the entire bridal party and bride on her special day. With almost 6 years of experience and an innate passion for the industry, the studios’ owner Nikole Vega knows what it takes to ensure a seamless and stress-free wedding day. A major component of this is holding a wedding trial and Nikole shared more about the importance of this practice and tips on how to get the most out of the experience.
Wedding trials allow the bride and her bridesmaids to build a closer relationship with the hairdresser and makeup artist they will be interacting with, so they are not communicating their ideas and questions for the first time on the big day. This allows everyone to go into the wedding day more confident and relaxed. It’s also essential to work with the same hair stylist and makeup artist both during the trial and on the day of the wedding. NV Glam Studio ensures this will be the case.
A hair and makeup trial is a must-have if:
Multiple hair and makeup options are available and brides and bridesmaids need to decide what will work best day-of
The bride or other member of the wedding party doesn’t wear a lot of makeup normally and is unsure of how it will look
Makeup shades and products, including lipstick, foundation, eye shadow, etc., need to be tested in front of the camera
False eyelashes will be used and you need to ensure they will not be uncomfortable or too heavy on the wedding day
Hair styles, such as curls or updos, need to be tested to make sure they will hold when the bride or bridesmaids are moving a lot or dancing later in the evening
NV Glam Studio offers wedding trial services at their Santa Barbara location. In order to have a successful and efficient trial, Nikole shared a few helpful tips.
What to Bring and How to Prepare for Your Trial
Bring 3-5 (no more than 5 to avoid feeling overwhelmed) ideas or photos to share with your stylist. Photos of what you DON’T WANT are also extremely useful.
Bring multiple accessory options such as natural flowers, veils, jewelry, etc. The trial is a great opportunity to see how each will look paired with your makeup and hairstyle.
Wear white to the trail because makeup reflects differently on different colors.
Schedule your engagement photos on the same day as your trial so you get a real look at yourself with your wedding day hair and makeup done.
Allow enough time for your trial. This is an opportunity to ask questions, get suggestions, and really get to know your hairstylist or makeup artist.
Bring just one other person with you, so you're not influenced by everyone else's opinion.
Overall, wedding hair and makeup trials give everyone peace of mind and save time on the wedding day when the focus should be on celebrating the beautiful couple.
