Celebrate Cinco de Mayo today with this unique and Spanish-inspired wedding complete with chips and guacamole, a mariachi band, and many Spanish-style details.

The day began at the beautiful Kimpton Canary Hotel where the bride and groom spent the morning getting ready before heading to one of Santa Barbara’s historic wedding venues, the Presidio Chapel, for their ceremony. The bride wore a stunning long-sleeve Madi Lane wedding gown from the bridal shop Luv Bridal, complete with soft curls and a deep red lip. The groom and his groomsmen were dressed in navy wedding suits, a perfect complement to the blush-toned bridesmaid dresses.

Just outside the Santa Barbara wedding chapel, the bride and groom did a first look against the white-washed walls of the original 18th century Spanish fortress. Inside, the guests took their seats surrounded by colorful paintings and authentic candle sconces. Filled with romance and charm, the old Spanish chapel was the perfect venue for an intimate ceremony.

Following their “I dos”, the couple made their way to the neighboring Casa De La Guerra, a historic Santa Barbara museum, accompanied by the mariachi band, Orgullo de Mexico, and a parade of their guests. The outdoor wedding reception was filled with a mix of soft earthy tones and natural textures. Reception tables provided by The Tent Merchant, a Santa Barbara wedding rental company, were dressed in lush florals and gold accents, along with hand-painted miniature terracotta pots with each guest’s name.

As guests filtered into the reception, they were welcomed by a beautiful hand-painted sign by Pearl & Pen. Trays of chips and guacamole were passed around while the wedding band played in the background. The memorable celebration carried well into the evening as everyone danced the night away underneath the sparkling twinkle lights provided by event rentals and lighting company, Bella Vista Designs. Each magical moment of the day was captured effortlessly by the talented Santa Barbara wedding photographer Michelle Ramirez.
