Historical Halloween Shoot from Veils & Tails Photography
In honor of Halloween this year, Kristen of Veils & Tails Photography was looking to create a shoot inspired by the holiday but that also brought in all those wonderful feelings of a crisp autumn day along with a few historical elements.
Kristen designed the tablescape herself by fusing warm fall colors with vintage crystal glassware. The arrangement also included real pressed leaves, various props sourced from Alpha Thrift, and florals and multi-colored pumpkins purchased from Trader Joe’s. The wooden table which held it all and was additionally adorned with a white runner was actually crafted by Kristen’s grandfather.
Model Kelly Rose also stepped into the frame to add more of that historical and antique mood Kristen was going for. She wore a an off-the-shoulder white ball gown with buttons down the front from Dalliance Gown Rentals. She did her own makeup and hair in a natural Victorian style, complete with ringlet curls. She posed at the styled table and also with various props at golden hour, including a parasol which Kristen purchased at a Renaissance Faire in Arizona this past spring.
The entire shoot was a true labor of love by Kristen and the results were both stunning and the perfect tribute to Halloween.
