Outdoor Winter Wedding with Navy Blue Tones
Hosted at the historic Lavender Inn this elegant winter wedding was full of love and joy. Built in 1874, the one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast was the perfect California wedding location for a romantic outdoor affair.
Defined by deep navy blues and pops of orange and red, this wedding’s color theme was carried throughout the day. From the bride’s bridal bouquet to the reception table settings, each element was tied together effortlessly.
Set beneath the wedding venue’s majestic oaks, the couple had an intimate ceremony among a lush garden landscape. The bride looked stunning in a beautiful mermaid wedding gown with long loose curls, while her bridesmaids wore delicate deep blue bridesmaid dresses. The groom and his groomsmen sported blue navy suits contrasted with subtle touches of orange from their striped ties and pocket squares. Also dressed for the occasion was the couple’s adorable pup, who posed for some fun photos with the new Mr. and Mrs. before they made their way to the outdoor reception.
Guests were greeted with passed wedding hors d'oeuvres by Santa Barbara catering company Catering Connection, including artichoke fritters and roasted butternut squash soup with crème fraiche and basil oil swirl presented in demi tass cups. Each of the reception tables were dressed in shades of blue with foraged florals by the wedding florists at Ojai Blooms. Rose gold accents and elegant place settings by Ventura Rentals also decorated the tables. For their dessert, the couple chose a lovely three-tier wedding cake by Susie Cakes topped with fresh wedding flowers.
