Owner of Events by M and M Celebrates Her Own Backyard Wedding
As owner of Events by M and M, Meg Herzer lives and breathes weddings and dedicates her time to planning stunning experiences for her clients. But, for today’s featured event, Meg was able to celebrate her own big day with a fairytale backyard wedding.
The bride prepped for the day with help from Bliss Bridal Beauty and selected a gorgeously detailed Essence of Australia strapless wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. The couple’s two sons were by their side throughout the day, and all shared some laughs taking photographs with gold sunglasses customized with the bride and groom’s names. As the ceremony took place in spring of 2020, just a few close family and friends were in attendance, but the couple had many virtual guests as well. Sun peaked through the trees during the backyard ceremony and Matt Roberts of Rewind Photography captured the moments as the bride and groom tied the knot in front of a unique wooden backdrop.
A Rental Connection helped to furnish the event, and the reception table was set up under delicate pink and white drapery. Boho-styled flower arrangements from The Twisted Twig hung above and florals also lined the reception tables for beautiful pops of color. A wedding isn’t complete without a cake, especially for wedding expert Meg Herzer, and this cake made by Viktor Benes Bakery also featured a fun element with personalized bride and groom cake topper figurines.
