Trendy Tuesday: Coming up Roses!

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet
— Juliet Capulet (via William Shakespeare)

We could not wait to post this Santa Barbara Wedding featuring Wisteria Lane Floral Design Studio's talents.  What we #LoveInSB about this particular wedding, is that the theme is simple: roses, but the details so sweet!

The uni-floral decor allowed Wisteria Lane's floral designer to incorporate the beautiful blooms into different nooks and crannies of the wedding. The stunning private Spanish style villa backdrop and hillside views acted as a picturesque palate to frame smartly placed, oodles of roses throughout the celebration.

Keeping with white for the ceremony the couple introduced touches of cream and orange for cocktails and reception. Even the mason jar desserts are adorned with the different roses and a touch of snap dragon.

Can you see use of all three types of roses to style everything from the welcome reception, cheese board, cocktail and dining tables?

MORE ABOUT ROSES:

Roses are a popular flower available for weddings, but do you know there are thousands of varieties available? Typically weddings use three main types:

  1. Tea roses (hybrids) - the classic, uniformly-shaped commercial roses readily available and used by most florists
  2. Spray roses - a smaller size rose with half to one dozen flowers per stem.
  3. Garden roses - the most expensive of the three, which smell amazing and have an old-fashioned open head.
