Rustic Glam Wedding at Zaca Creek

Zaca Creek has been an iconic location in the Santa Ynez Valley for generations and after shutting its doors for over 18 years and sitting in wait, it has been resurrected and refashioned into a rustic dream wedding venue. From the massive stone and heavy timber exterior of the buildings to the thatch roof and hand-carved alder doors, this place feels unique yet cohesive in Santa Barbara wine country.
After watching her craft countless spectacularly designed weddings, we knew Floral Designer Tangled Lotus would bring to life the dream of a rustic glam shoot at this locale. Drawing from her trusted list of vendors, she put together an inspirational group of wedding professionals to create each essential element of this shoot, including Michelle Ramirez Photography and Wedding Coordinator Wünderland Co.. Taking inspiration from the earthly tones of the surrounding areas and the luxuriousness of a grand celebratory fête, we sought to combine the flattering qualities of coral, blush, gold, and white.
For the look of the bride and groom, we drew inspiration from the classically-styled, vintage glamour of an era long since past. Taking notes from the golden age of Hollywood to present an ageless impression: the dapper groom, in a bespoke yet understated suit by Zara and the breathtaking bride in gowns ranging from the inimitable stylings of a BHLDN dress to the more couture dernier cri of Pronovias.
Golden Mittens Bakery masterfully crafted a three-tiered cake that highlighted the glamorous nature of the shoot. At the base of the cake, fondant was effortlessly sculpted with the same delicacy of a natural peony. The second layer continues the color palette with the blush tones from the bouquet and a simple geometric design. For la touche finale, she topped it off by magnificently painting 24 carat gold to further the extravagance and opulence of the day.
