Seafood Sensation on the Channel Cat with Catering Connection
Santa Barbara’s Catering Connection specializes in tasteful and elegant cuisine made only from fresh, local ingredients. Today’s spread was no different, starring a phenomenal seafood display and a wide array of delicious hors d’oeuvres - all onboard a luxurious Channel Cat Charter boat.
With an endless view of ocean and sailboats in the background, the Catering Connection team set up their specialty ‘By the Sea’ food station. Fresh oysters, crab claws and legs, jumbo shrimp, steamed and raw clams were all served with customary lemon wedges, cocktail, horseradish, and French Mignonette sauces. For an additional pop of color, a charcuterie board also decorated the table, including an assortment of artisan cheeses, cured meats, pâté, seasonal fruits, nuts, and French breads and crackers.
And, the feast didn’t stop there. Catering Connection also came equipped with a mouthwatering lineup of tray passed appetizers. Keeping with the seafood theme, a rock shrimp ceviche tostada with fresh limes, cilantro, avocado and pico de gallo was served. And, to add some turf to the surf, guests also enjoyed steak bites with bleu cheese and cilantro pesto dips, pork carnitas and chicken street tacos. A few lighter options included bacon-wrapped dates and jalapeño poppers, burrata crostini, and strawberry sage and ricotta Triscuits.
