Today’s sun-kissed Santa Barbara wedding will tug at your heartstrings, starting with an emotional ceremony all the way until a laugh and smile-filled dance from the couple. The ceremony and reception were both held at the spacious getaway, Villa & Vine - a short walk from the Santa Barbara Courthouse, where the couple also snuck off to in order to take advantage of the building’s Spanish-inspired architecture with Elizabeth Victoria Photography.

At the ceremony, the couple expressed their love in the venue’s courtyard as a tiled, geometric fountain sprinkled with pink and orange petals added a splash of color and flair at the center of the room. The bride wore a form-fitting lace wedding dress from Floravere Gown Boutique and held a tropical pink and orange bridal bouquet to match her husband-to-be’s boutonnière, which accented his navy suit.

The reception was pure bliss as the setting sun shining through the windows combined with string lights overhead to illuminate the space. The white walls were decorated heavily with lush green ivy and simple white plates along with clear crystal glassware were placed on light wood tables. Santa Barbara Florist Hogue & Co. assembled all wedding flowers for the day including modest centerpieces. Loving speeches and a dance with music from DJ Gavin Roy ended the night on a sweet note.

I was finally able to meet Ashley and Ryan in person for their wedding at Villa and Vine in Santa Barbara. They had hired me for their wedding a few months before Covid but we had never officially met. Like many couples, their original wedding date had to be postponed to this year. Even though I never formally met them I could tell by Ashley’s Instagram posts that I’d like them, and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, they were even cooler than I had expected them to be! They were so easy-going, funny, down-to-earth, basically my favorite kinda people.
