Once a full-service gas station and auto garage, The Maker's Son venue embodies the essence of its rustic beginnings and Los Alamos charm with its classic design, vintage collectibles and historic memorabilia. Along with numerous expansive and unique outdoor spaces, pieces of the past and fixtures of the present are artfully woven throughout the grounds, evoking a sense of wonder and tranquility.

The Maker's Son offers a wide range of private dining and beverage selections, seasonally focused on locally sourced producers and ingredients. From the Coastal Seafood Bar to Country Style BBQ, the private dining menus embody the true essence of California's Central Coast.

Inclusive to wedding experiences at The Maker's Son, wedding packages include ceremony chairs, farm-style dining tables, cross-back dining chairs, china, glassware, silverware, service-ware, and basic linens.

Price Range: Prices range depending on day of the week, space(s) reserved. A full buyout of the venue is available for $7,500 midweek to $10,000 on Saturdays. Food packages range from $44 - $90+ p/person. Alcoholic beverage packages range from $40 p/person for beer and wine only to $55+ p/person for full bar option. Server and bartender fees plus 20% gratuity on food and beverage is applied.

Alcohol Policy: Beer, wine and spirits are available for purchase. No outside alcohol permitted.

Time Allotments: Private events packages are priced according to a 5 hour event. Events must conclude by 9:00pm. Events ending later then 9:00pm will be considered by management for approval and must fall under a full buyout.

Decorations: The ambiance is rustic with shades of light terracotta, brick, taupe and warm browns. Beautiful hues of greens from succulents, sycamore trees, ornamental grass and climbing ivy. TMS and Host will discuss Host’s desired decorations and creative requests. Rearranging and moving furniture, artwork, lamps, seating, and other furnishings shall be performed solely by TMS staff. No nails, screws, staples, or penetrating items shall be used on walls, wood, floors, trees or other fine surfaces of the Venue. Glitter (non-paper) confetti, sparklers and candles are prohibited at the Venue.

Cancellation Policy:

a) By Host. If Host cancels its Event, in addition to any other remedies TMS may have, Host shall be deemed to have forfeited to TMS all Fees due to TMS on or before the cancellation date.

b) By TMS. TMS shall have the right to cancel the Agreement and Event without liability, upon written notification, and retain all Fees paid by Host to TMS through the cancellation date for either of the following reasons: (i) nonpayment of Fees by the applicable due dates; or (ii) breach of this Agreement by Host. TMS shall have the right to cancel this Agreement and Event without liability, upon written notification, and refund to Host all Fess paid by Host to TMS through the cancellation date by providing written notice to Host for either of the following reasons: (iii) the Event is of a nature that TMS finds subjectively inappropriate; or (iv) an Occurrence defined in Section 7.c. affects the Event.

c) Force Majeure. Should events beyond the reasonable control of TMS or Host, including but not limited to: (1) acts of God, (2) war, including armed conflict, (3) strikes or labor disputes at the Venue, (4) disease, (5) government regulation or advisory (including travel advisory warnings), (6) civil disturbance at the Venue or in region, (7) terrorism or threats of terrorism in the United States as substantiated by governmental warnings or advisory notices, (8) curtailment of transportation services or facilities which would materially affect attendees from attending the Event, (9) disaster, fire, earthquakes, hurricanes in area, (10) shortages or disruption of the electrical power supply causing blackouts or rolling blackouts or other essential utilities in the region, or (11) any other cause reasonably beyond the parties' control (collectively referred to as "Occurrences"), making the event commercially impracticable, impracticable to perform, illegal, or impossible to fully perform under this Agreement as the Parties originally contracted, then unless TMS exercises its rights under Section 7.c., then the parties shall move the date of the Event to a new date mutually agreeable date.
