Five Orange Fall Wedding Inspirations
Spanish settlers who lived in Southern California during the 1600s were cultivating a variety of citrus fruit, believed to have originated from Southeast China. Citrus in general is abundant in this region, and therefore it is no surprise that we find orange to be a popular Santa Barbara Wedding Style color for couples getting married in the area. Below are five different weddings incorporating the color orange into the BIG day!
Inspired by a Santa Barbara beach’s orange sunset invitation suite, a perfectly sweet and intimate wedding held in the Sunken Gardens of the Santa Barbara Courthouse, included beautiful florals with varying shades of orange by Ella & Louie.
The scenic Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort with its dramatic Plaza del Sol served as the location for this couple's special day. Wedding planner Bijoux Events incorporated bright colors featured throughout the wedding, including a ceremony decorated with colorful parasols for guests to use. After the nuptials, the same space was transformed into an elegant dining reception. Long wood farmhouse tables decorated with modern wood boxes of bright flowers by Grassroots, mimicked the wedding ceremony colors. Held at the elegant Santa Barbara Four Seasons this couple chose to incorporate citrus and herbs as part of their wedding design. Mindy Rice executed the concept flawlessly with cumquats on the branch in the personal flowers of bouquets and boutonnieres. Captured by Megan Sorel Photography and planned by Alexandra Kolendrianos.
This couple subtly crafted their October wedding at the Rincon Beach Club as an ode to the month's pumpkin-themed holiday with a pairing of golden hues and soft oranges along with small gold, white and orange pumpkins found throughout the reception. The bride carried a bouquet of soft shades of orange and white crafted with flowers from Florabundance, and bridesmaids held smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet. This fall wedding day with funky, eclectic decor included a bright orange color palette. The Santa Barbara Historical Museum ceremony was held in the lower courtyard with an asymmetrical draped arbor featuring hanging orbs featuring colorful mini cacti. Felici Events chose orange details for the reception, including the table linens and glassware to match the touches of orange floral created by Precious and Blooming.
